Description
We’re celebrating the classics! For our 40th anniversary, our beloved historical characters return in their signature look with accessories and a book, plus packaging inspired by the original box design. Adventurous Kaya longs to be a leader of her niimíipuu people in 1764. Kaya was released in 2002, one of the first eight dolls introduced by American Girl.
Premium features:
- An 18″ Kaya doll in a soft faux-deerskin dress tied with a faux-leather belt and trimmed with fringes, beads, and pretend quillwork, plus a dark spot at the chest to represent the deer’s tail
- She has deep-brown eyes and long shiny black hair worn in two braids. She has a soft cotton body, and her movable head and limbs are made of smooth vinyl.
- A Meet Kaya paperback book with a cover inspired the original design
Also includes:
- A pair of matching moccasins with ties
- A pair of faux-leather hair ties at the bottom of her braids and a pair of faux-abalone shell hair ties at the top
- A faux woven cornhusk bag with triangular patterns and faux-leather handles that Kaya would use to carry roots and personal belongings
- A woven pouch that Kaya would wear on her belt to carry bits of food or tools, featuring a decorative print on the front flap and contrast trim
- A faux green, blue, and red porcupine-quill necklace
