Description
Kwanzaa is a seven-day celebration of African and African American culture, where families light a candle on the kinara (candle holder) each night and may enjoy food, song, dance, and other activities. The celebration set includes:
- A colorful printed cotton broadcloth top with a surplice neckline
- A colorful printed cotton broadcloth maxi skirt with an elastic waistband
- A pair of black strappy sandals
- A printed cotton broadcloth headband with a knotted front square that matches the skirt
- A beaded bracelet on a black cord with seven beads that mimic the kinara candles
- A black plastic kinara with painted details that holds seven candles
- A set of seven candles: three red, one black, and three green
- A unity cup for everyone to sip from
- A woven mkeka mat, one of the seven symbols of Kwanzaa
- A booklet that highlights five different cultural celebrations
